BIG FISH · ARCHITECTURE / 2026

Architecturebetween line
and life.

A building cannot be reduced to a façade. Neither can an architecture website. It should convey scale, sequence, light and the logic of a project, then turn attention into a meaningful conversation.

01 / SPACE

A website does not show architecture.
It creates a way of seeing it.

Architecture exists in motion: a turn changes the perspective, a step brings material closer, daylight rebuilds the scene. A screen has neither weight nor distance, yet it can connect image, drawing, data and story in one sequence.

01

Presence, not a picture

Panorama, 3D and motion are useful when they make proportion and atmosphere legible, not when they merely decorate the page.

02

A route, not a catalogue

Projects form the narrative of a practice, from context and intention to detail, completion and the life of a place.

03

A system, not a skin

Behind an expressive surface sit fast media, accessibility, structured content and deliberate connections to CRM, BIM or an archive.

A house as the opening screen.

Today’s project becomes the entrance to the subject: calm geometry, a complex roofline, an open terrace and a model that can be studied without accepting a predetermined camera angle.

Strategy and content model

Who needs the site: a client, partner, prospective colleague or resident? What decisions do they make? This is where the portfolio structure, project types, shared vocabulary and publishing rules begin.

  • Audience and journeys
  • Project archive and classification
  • SEO, languages and media rights

04 / ARCHITECTURE ON THE INTERNET

A building has an address.
An idea has a link.

The early web was a shop window: a few photographs, an architect’s name and a phone number. It became an archive. Today it can also be a tool for designing relationships — between a practice and a client, an object and its city, a drawing and a person.

Online representation cannot replace walking through a building. It can, however, expose what the completed object conceals: intention, alternatives, structural logic, the movement of sunlight, the history of a site and change over time.

A screen has no depth until interaction turns looking into exploration.

This is why a strong architecture page combines editorial rhythm with engineering precision. It lets imagery breathe without hiding facts. It permits discovery but always leaves a map. It surprises without making the interface compete with the work.

05 / BUILD THE SYSTEM

What digital home
does your practice need?

This is a conceptual model rather than a price calculator. Select the practice and priorities; the diagram reveals which spaces of the site become central.

Concept

Editorial practice website

The portfolio becomes a journey through ideas and realised spaces; 3D and drawings reveal selected projects without overwhelming the entrance.

06 / TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

Beauty should
carry the load.

01

Media without waiting

AVIF/WebP, responsive sizes and first-screen priority. The WebGL model loads immediately in its own scene while the remaining media arrives as the page unfolds.

Check: the first screen stays clear while 3D is loading.
02

3D with another entrance

Load status and a link to the standalone project preserve the route on a constrained device or without WebGL. Controls consider mouse, touch and keyboard.

Check: the canvas explains its state and always offers a next step.
03

An archive that grows

A project is structured: status, type, place, year, team, materials, drawings and relations. Filters use real fields rather than words baked into an image.

Check: a new project needs no homepage rebuild.
04

Honest accessibility

Contrast, labels, focus, a meaningful sequence and reduced motion. Atmosphere should not depend on a visitor’s ability to tolerate animation.

Check: the journey works without a mouse or motion.
05

BIM is not a decorative file

Only the necessary geometry and safe attributes are exported for public experience. The working model remains the source of truth in the agreed process.

Check: service layers and sensitive data stay private.
06

Dialogue instead of a dead end

The enquiry carries project context; CRM distinguishes a competition, commission or visualisation lead, and the team sees source and next step.

Check: after submission, the visitor knows what follows.
