AGIMA is one of Moscow’s most prominent companies in the development of large digital products. Its portfolio clearly reflects a strong financial and service-oriented profile: the team has been developing digital products for AlfaStrakhovanie for years, participated in building the Finuslugi application for the Moscow Exchange, created mobile products for the 36.6 pharmacy chain and SberSpasibo. QSOFT works with corporate portals, e-commerce, and custom development. Notable projects include the Bank of Russia digital library with more than 350,000 publications, the Otkritie Bank corporate portal that brought together more than 40 services for 22,000 employees, and Lamoda’s internal portal designed for about 13,000 people. For Boiron, the agency built an AI chatbot that automated a significant share of incoming requests; for NLMK, it created an application for organizing employee meals.
QSOFT has one of the broadest technology stacks in this review: PHP, Python, Go, Node.js, TypeScript, Laravel, Symfony, Django, FastAPI, React, Vue.js, Next.js, and Nuxt. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse, and other systems are used for data storage and processing. Articul is a Moscow full-cycle agency working with digital platforms, design, and customer experience transformation. AERO’s strength lies in the tasks that begin after an online store goes live: data management, customer and partner accounts, CRM, analytics, dynamic pricing, and high-availability support. This agency makes sense when an online store is part of a large retail infrastructure and product development requires continuous integrations and data work.
Notamedia works at the intersection of public-sector services, large corporate websites, and cultural digital projects. Over two decades, the company has accumulated hundreds of projects and awards. One of the largest examples is its participation in creating Moscow’s unified web environment around mos.ru: the project consolidated thousands of websites and services, analyzed hundreds of thousands of search queries, and mapped hundreds of real-life situations faced by city residents. The corporate website remains a common Moscow product, but the strongest portfolios show it in a more complex form. At QSOFT, these are corporate portals with dozens of internal services; at Uplab, websites and B2B systems with large volumes of content; at Only, digital platforms for industry and real estate. Clients increasingly expect the public-facing website to be connected with a personal account, CRM, databases, and internal corporate systems.
The second major segment is e-commerce. AERO, Greensight, AWG, and Intaro build projects where an online store includes PIM, ERP, loyalty programs, mobile scenarios, pricing and stock management. Such a project differs significantly in complexity from a store based on a ready-made template. WordPress and WooCommerce remain relevant in the small and mid-market segment, while WordPress development is well suited to content-driven and relatively compact commercial websites.
Moscow also generates steady demand for web applications. Banking accounts, insurance services, HR platforms, real estate marketplaces, public-sector systems, and SaaS products require dedicated backend architecture. In these cases, the website becomes an interface to data and business processes. Laravel, Symfony, Python, Go, and Node.js handle backend logic, React and Vue.js handle dynamic interfaces, while PostgreSQL and other database systems handle data.
Landing pages remain a separate commercial product. They are used for launching residential projects, banking products, advertising campaigns, new services, and events. The larger the Moscow project, the more important the infrastructure around the application code becomes. The stacks of the companies reviewed include Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and ClickHouse. These technologies support caching, queues, search, analytics, and scaling. Visitors rarely notice them directly, but backend architecture often determines whether a service can handle load and continue evolving for years.

Several case studies illustrate the range of the Moscow market especially well. They include a financial platform, a citywide digital ecosystem, major e-commerce, a corporate personal account, and a real estate service. The industries and interfaces are very different, yet in every case web development is closely connected with data, integrations, and long-term product evolution.
The Finuslugi project for the Moscow Exchange shows how far a modern financial web product has moved beyond a conventional website. In its work for Gloria Jeans, Greensight dealt with e-commerce infrastructure and the replacement of SAP Commerce Cloud. For a major retailer, a migration of this kind affects the catalog, product data, user scenarios, and connections with internal systems. The value of the case lies in the architecture and management of the transition between platforms, while the visible store interface is only one layer of the overall system.
In the Si-Leasing project, the public website and the client account are technologically separated. The website runs on 1C-Bitrix, while the client account is built with Laravel and Vue.js and integrated with 1C. Users access leasing company data through the web interface, while the backend handles business logic and data exchange. This architecture works well for services where a content CMS should not control complex transactional scenarios.
Kokoc.tech used React and Next.js, Symfony and GraphQL, a unified API, and integration with 1C for the real estate developer’s project. This architecture allows the user interface, backend services, and connections to the company’s internal data to evolve independently. For the Moscow real estate market, this is a characteristic type of project: a residential development website gradually becomes a service for selecting properties, working with a catalog, and transferring data into an internal sales system.
Public market statistics provide a useful starting point for Moscow pricing. The average cost of a corporate website among Moscow contractors is around 579,000 rubles, a promotional website around 412,000 rubles, and an online store around 863,000 rubles. For services and portals, the average rises to roughly 3.25 million rubles. In common market segmentation, projects below 200,000 rubles belong to the lower range, 200,000–500,000 rubles to the mid-range, 500,000–1 million rubles to the upper range, while budgets above one million rubles form the premium segment.
These figures explain why the answer to “how much does it cost to build a website in Moscow?” varies so widely depending on the class of contractor and the product itself. The average figure of 863,000 rubles provides context for the overall market, but development of a system like this belongs to a much higher budget category.
Web applications have a different economic model. The average Moscow service or portal already costs several million rubles. If an analyst, architect, developers, and a project manager work on the product continuously, the monthly budget becomes a separate metric. ADV, for example, publishes a starting dedicated-team configuration at around one million rubles per month. For a product that evolves for a year, the cost is no longer the price of a single website version but the cost of a permanent team.
The difference between a proposal for 300,000 rubles and a project worth several million often lies in work that visitors will never see directly. Before the first visual mockup appears, the team studies the business, competitors, and users, develops the information architecture and user scenarios. Then come the prototype, visual concept, and design system with component states, responsive versions, and rules for future product expansion.
Once the design is approved, frontend development and backend engineering begin. On a conventional corporate website, the server may mainly manage content. In a web application, it handles user permissions, transactions, documents, statuses, calculations, and data exchange. Databases, REST API or GraphQL, job queues, and integrations with CRM, ERP, 1C, payment systems, telephony, and external services are added. Before launch, the project is tested on real devices and browsers, forms and integrations are checked, performance is optimized, and security is reviewed. For an existing website, content and URLs must also be migrated correctly. Redirects, canonical tags, metadata, sitemap.xml, robots.txt, Schema.org, and HTTP status codes need to be preserved or rebuilt. The work continues after launch. New sections appear, business processes change, integrations and CMS versions are updated, and traffic grows. On a large Moscow project, turnkey website development usually means the complete cycle from research to several subsequent releases rather than merely the date when the first version goes live.

If the central task is a strong visual system and brand positioning, ONY, Only, and CreativePeople deserve attention.
